Anti-Sway Bar Fitment Check

Anti-Sway Bar Fitment Check

Postby fellowtraveler [OP] » June 29th 2020, 11:47pm

Just double-checking here before I purchase that the Belltech 5428 Front Anti-Swaybar and the Belltech 5528 Rear Anti-Swaybar are the correct fitment equipment bars for a 1998 Astro. :ty:

I think that is what I have on mine but will check. Super beefy solid steel sway bars. You wont regret it. They are some of the best $ I ever put in the astro. Handles like a camaro.

I do not expect my van to handle particularly well. On the highway, I do not drive it like I expect it too handle well.
I disconnected my front sway bar, because I do a significant amount of driving on non-paved roads.
Mountain logging roads and forest roads usually come with their fair share of potholes, ruts and rocky protrusions.
Having the front bar disconnected seems to provide a somewhat smoother ride, due to the more independent connection between the front wheels.
I would never advocate doing that to a mainly daily driver; but for me, it seems to be worth the extra body roll I get during normal driving.
