Free shocks up for grabs..

Any body need some Monroe Gas-Matic front shocks for their Gen 2 RWD?

I have two that I removed from my van after only a month, 1000 miles.
I'll give these away to a good home for the cost of Shipping... say $15.

I was looking for more dampening so went with some KYB MonoMax units.

Thank you Sir, for your most generous offer. I know why you ran them for only a month. I bought these exact same shocks for my Astro. They were worse than the leaking, 100,000 mile OE shocks that I took off. They bounce so bad that I think I could lift the front tires if I feathered the gas just right. My initial reason for joining the site was to see what shock is working for you guys. Was looking at KYB A gas shocks. How do you like your mono maxes?

Sorry for the late reply, but we got a spell of great weather so I've been outside the whole time.
The MonoMax from KYB are pretty good. The dampening really forces the bounces to be under control.
I no longer have 1.5~2 bounces when coming to a stop, now it is just one down-up motion... end of story.

I was able to transfer over the plastic tube covers (from the Gas-matics to the MonoMax) so they had a bit more protection under there. I'm pleased so far.

Others on this sight also like the Bilsteins, which I can understand, as I run them on my Volvo.
Basically, don't get the $24 shock if you have high expectations...
