89 astro v8 conversion

hi everybody hows it goin? i'm new to the site, just picke up this 89 astro ,already swapped.one of my freinds projects,his wife made him get rid of it.anyway,new motor mounts,5.7 liter t.b.i out of a 1990 chevy pickup.700r transmission,engine and trans rebiult. 2500 stall converter,b&m shift kit, 3"inch exhaust,40 series flowmaster.stock 3.42 ring and pinion.i would like a 3.55 but don't know what would fit. new 15"rims b.f.goodrich tires.also would like to know what stiffer springs to use for front end. i have new gas shocks but dosn"t help much. heres a pic.

Capraice 9C1 springs would probably be a good choice for the front, or compatible springs. Are you having body roll issues? If so, have you thought of a rear sway bar perhaps and/or a bigger front one? If the front end acts like it's "jumping" up and down he may have pulled the front bar to cause it to launch better as well.

Besides that, your next gear ratio wise is 3.73s, 3.55s are a ford ratio.

hey thanks for the input.and yeah the front end does jump up and down a bit.as for the rear end could i just use the ring and pinion from a pick up or do i need the whole rear end,or can i pick one up at the auto parts?
