Thinking about a v8 swap in my 97

Thinking about a v8 swap in my 97

Postby boostedmax [OP] » May 18th 2009, 11:18pm

I keep hearing about people doing v-8 swaps in their older astro vans but i can't really get a good answer on how hard it is to do the swap on a 97.

I will be using a 97 motor to replace my current one and was woundering what other parts i will need?

Thanks to anyone who helps.

We have had members do swaps on the later yr vans. You can follow the same outline in general with the computer and wire harness from the donor v8.Keep in mind that the later vans have to have the engine come out of the bottom of the van via sub frame drop or cut the rad support and weld brackets back in to put it back together.

Let us know if you need anymore help.
