any one got any pics or links to the v8 cooling in a astroI dont want to use an electri fan,just dont trucst them.?Do they want to run on the warm side like a s10?

I don't think they really run any hotter. Its only two more cylinders, and the total volume for the water in the block increased a bit. If you swapped to the V-8 because you blew a head gasket or overheated the V6, then your likely to have the same problem with the V8. :noflame:

If it ran OK before it will be fine. Big thing is, if you stick with the stock fan, you need to make sure you keep the shroud. It does take a bit of trimming, but no big deal. Without, it's likely to overheat.

Personally, I like eletric, dual electric to be exact. A bit of redundancy, plus you can crank the airflow up even when standing still in traffic. Way better than the stock setup IMHO.
