in US and canada you dont hitrod these engines as mutch and the reason it simple ,, if you need some better performance in the astro/S10 you simple goes to the junkjard and buys a better V8 and mission are completed ,, il got a wet dream someday do do my own V8 astro swap ,, in sweden its alot moore problems to register a car with a swaped engine and it wasent untill a couple a years ago we became aloud to do this V8 rebuilds ,, but the only V8 engines as they alows are not any moore fun then a G20 van 350 TBI ,, ,, theres you got really moore possebilitys ,, and with the amazing and afordable LSX engines yoi can build some drastic perfoemance cheap ,,
well someday i will try to get a V8 swaped astro wheres all hard works inc documentas etc has been dome ,,, im old and lazy

well i hope this will come in the near futhure ,, il got alot of projects ,,
BUT today il got a moore urgent question ,, i am about to get my wifes blazer S10 2002 some moore performance ,, its got the 4.3L 262 V6 engine and i have orderd and are awating some stuff to imorove the perfoemance to this small dimond ,
i will replace the cylinderheads for a rebuild set of 2002 heads ,, Chad at golen engine service has installed a larger set of valves in them and grinded and polished them a bit ,,, he also orderd a custom grinded camshaft for the complete setup and i sjhall insall a set of headers and a moore open less restrectiv exhause ,, the software is custom by brian at pcm for less and he also send me a new larger speider since the stock dosent deliver enoutgh fuel ,, this performance spider are the smallest in series with 36 lbs injectors so theres are gonne be ahuge difrenace compered to stock ,, but it akes both air and fuel to get a sucess ... the fuelpart is done nowom looking for som help to understund what GM has put on the Butterflywing in this throttlebody ??? on WOT this massive peice of **** covers alot of the opening in the throtllebody and myst be really restrective in cfm of air ,,,, why has they put it there and what good does it and moustly how will i do to exclue it ? i did take a quick look and it seams they yust used two pop rivets to keep it in place ,,, is it simply to grind them away and take the dummy away from the throttlebalde or does i need to do anything else ? do i need to close up the holes in the butterfly or will the IAC be able to handle the idle even with those holes unclosed ? ,,, if i need to close them ,, what is the best way to do it ? rivets again or whats you proposal ? i dont wanna solder on the butterfly sinnce they often gets windy and get problems to keep close to the main body aferwords ,, so does anyone got the knowledge of share my clouds in this matter ? Bes regards Åke Of Sweden
