Skip White out of distributors for forseeable future

Postby TurnNburn [OP] » February 28th 2017, 7:21pm

So when trying to purchase a dizzy from skip white, I noticed that they say out of stock. So I called them up and they say they don't have any more, and have no idea when they are getting them back. The helpfull lady was nice enough to give me the direct part number and I was able to search for it that way. Its 7 more dollars on amazon and on ebay then from SW directly, but if anyone needs one. here you go.

Yeah that KMJ industries is the place she suggested that I go, but I don't really like dealing with Ebay. I prefer amazon, but that's just me. its the same price either way.

I was more surprised to see it made by a company called Assault Racing.

When they get them back its still cheaper to go through skip white, so if/when they get stock again I will continue to do business with them. Especially with the stellar customer service I have received from them.

I'm sure it's a temporary thing, they sell so damn many of them that I doubt they won't ever get any more of them.

You must have!

It's sad to see that they don't carry them anymore, I remember first mentioning them on the site back in 09 viewtopic.php?f=43&t=4333&p=29738#p29738

You can still search for 6671-BK on ebay http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=6671-BK or part number 1326202 from ARC http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=1326202
They are also available on Amazon from ARC/TopStreetPerformance #1326202 http://amzn.to/2p8Coee

It might be because of a distribution agreement. You need to remember that Skip White/KMJ are just resellers. Just like Summit/Jeggs they do not make the distributor. KMJ is mow claiming to be the exclusive provider for Assault Racing products.

The important info is the part #.

Assault Racing
ARC 1326202

Skip White/KMJ
85-95: Top post terminal, Red cap, JM6651-R
96-05: Flat top, Side post terminal, JM6671-BK

There are also other alloy distributors available under part #
85-95 DST107, DST2635, KA-HUC6_RED
96-05 DST1639, EDCA-110, D2134

Shop around to find your best price!

Slightly off-topic on an old thread. Unless I was duped, I bought one of these distributors. However I just noticed that there are no vent holes like the 2 vent holes in the OEM AC Delco distributor. There are two "holes" (rather like golf holes) that do not go completely through the base of the distributor. Is this how the design should be? Or should I drill in the holes right through the base? Thank you.

I'd leave it as is. The vent screens in the stock distributors would get plugged up and cause issues, I've never heard of this with an aftermarket unit.
