Accelerator pedal is stuck, top end 20mph

Postby RottenRalphy [OP] » May 14th 2017, 9:28pm

I have an 05 Astro cargo. The accelerator pedal is stuck to the floor, but it will only go 20 mph. Is there a return spring I am not seeing? What causes the asselerator pedal to return?

Check the spring on the throttle body, and make sure the cable is attached on both ends! Sounds like something came unhooked.

I was able to push on the cable near the throttle body and now it seems to be working ok....which really worries me.

Check for a frayed cable and try some good spray lube. Last thing you want is it to hang up in traffic!!!!

X2... I've had this issue with my 01 Safari... I hit it with PB Blaster every couple months and hasn't done it since... In my case was rusty linkage...
