95 Fuel pressure reulator?

95 Fuel pressure reulator?

Postby pauledude [OP] » May 21st 2011, 1:55am

Pulled the plenum off. I have the the CMFI (airbox on fan shroud) Turn the key, and fuel comes out the regulator??

Is this a cold start? Or bad?

No injectors leak, but it runs rough.

Thanks.

Debating on putting new injectors in it. or taking off my 4WD stuff and junking the rest. I realy want a full size :)

Bad. The diaphragm is leaking.

To replace the fuel pressure regulator will cost you about $40 - it's a Dorman/HELP! part available at your local autoparts place...I got one at AutoZone. It'll come with the Torx security bit required to remove the old and install the new.

Gah. I was wondering why the Dorman part included a Torx bit...Didn't see this message in my searches, and noticed the "security" part. Off to Sears I go. ;)

Is each plastic injector housing(?) supposed to have a rubber o-ring on it? I've seen them listed for sale, new/re-man spiders don't seem to include them, and my '95's injectors didn't have any when I removed them:

Looking at images of new, re-man, and used spiders again, I don't see any which have o-rings installed. I'd like to see a pic of a spider with o-rings in place if anyone has one.

On neither my '93 Bravada nor my '93 Astro were there o-rings on the poppets. There were o-rings on the 'nut kit' - the fuel lines that push into the spider and an o-ring on the fuel pressure regulator on the other side.

Could be. I always buy a set if they are not there. I just thinking it is better suckin gas than air from the upper intake area.

You're probably right. Can't hurt, especially if the poppets click in place as needed.
