quick rad pre-install question....

Hello people......I hope people are getting by in these not so normal circumstances....installing new rad and expecting some type of instruction sheet in regards to oil cooler/trans cooler fittings....Torque Specs?....the sticker on the rad says follow the instructions in the installation guide included.......no guide included....is there a recommended torque setting or is it just supposed to be snugged up.....I have no clue as the limitations the connector to the plastic tank has and I don't want to void the warranty....I read other posts here in regards to removal/install....which was very helpful but no mention of how tight the connectors should be.

The cooler lines snap in place... no torque.
If you have to install a threaded adapter, just use very moderate hand torque with Teflon tape.

There are clips you need to get and replace for both the oil cooler lines and trans cooler lines.

To reinstall, you put new clips on and push the lines in until the clips pop out a little, then pop back in place.



The clip is removed there. You'll need a 90° pick and a hooked pick. The 90° gets the clip started moving and the hook holds it so you can pull it off. Then you pull the line straight out of the fitting. You might need to spray some PB in there and whack a little, then pull out the line.

Do not reuse the clips. They will fail.
