wat is this???

Postby terrencemclean [OP] » August 28th 2012, 4:08pm

It's making a sound (electricity buzzing) and van is running rough. But I do have the wrong fuel pump in it. Fuel pump from 98 in my 2003. Does this matter?

Looks like your PCV Positive crankcase vent valve. A one way valve to reduce crankcase pressure and emissions. The gauge sending unit on the pump assys is different in those years but the pump its self should be the same.

It is a pvc. I just replaced mine so I know what it looks like.
ragenme If you can't fix it with a hammer then its probably a electrical problem!

Yup, PCV valve.

Lots of them buzz, but you generally only can hear it with the doghouse off. It's just the element inside rattling. That's actually a good thing, since it means the element can move freely. When they get stuck, that's a problem.
