PCV Valve Vibrates - 2002 4.3L

The other day I had the Dog House off and the motor running and I noticed the PCV Valve was making a noise.
I could feel it vibrating. I pulled it out and stuck my finger over it an it stopped... of course. I tried cleaning it...
Do you really need to replace them? Is it supposed to cycle really fast like that? How are they supposed to work?

Yes they cycle like that. Usually quieter but as long as it is, it's working.
