95' 4.3L intake setup - CPI or MPI?

I'm only looking at boosting 7-9psi max and on premium fuel.

I have seen these stock 4.3L's boosted to well over 14psi and last 200,000kms.

I can't do squat till spring though unfortuantely as I don't have a garage anymore :(

Umm? A stock naturally aspirated 4.3L will have a hard time running on that kind of boost without changes to the compression ratio and the lower end. That's just too much for a stock engine with any mileage on it.

I think the easiest way to put a turbo into this vans is to find a donor Typhoon/Syclone.

Your likely right but finding a sy/ty engine is near impossible in Canada.

I'll likely just sell off the CPI 4.3 and 4l60e trans and slap a carbed 350 in it with a 700r4 trans... much less issues and i HATE fuel injection (grrrrr)

Its near impossible anywhere. But on the brighter side, you can find V8's all over the place. And fuel injection is bad, once you got the basics, its a piece of cake.

Ya if i can find a CPI or MPI 5.7L V8 then i'll use it.

LockDoc has written an article on how to convert from cpi to tbi but i think i'd rather go mpi or carbed.

Problem is that I suck at reading wiring diagrams and have no idea where to start...lol

Carbed 350 is soooo easy to get ahold of and simple to tune.

Time will tell depending on what i find for sale.
