Where does this cable go?

Where does this cable go?

Postby bartborchardt [OP] » April 29th 2013, 5:56pm

I was inspecting a leak this morning on my radiator this morning and noticed a cable not hooked up somewhere. Does anyone know where it goes? It is already hooked up to a relay in the picture. 2000 astro

Does anyone have a schematic that would tell me this?

I'm not familiar with the 2000 Astros, is it the relay that is bolted to the rad support just left of the end of the wire you're holding? Is it a stock relay or did someone add it for an alarm or remote starter? Hopefully someone with more knowledge of the newer Astros or a wiring diagram will pop on shortly.

I could be wrong but it looks to me like you have a two battery setup with and isolator. The black cable would be ground but it depends on who wired the system.

I am not aware of any Astro/Safari vehicles that came with a two battery setup with isolator.

Without knowing were the other end of the cable terminates, and the isolator type, it would be hard to tell were it goes.

Some one familiar with the isolator type may be able to help you.
