I'm swaping engines but i dont want to make a costly mistake

I have a 1995 Astro RWD without crankshaft sensor and I found a good 1995 Astro engine RWD on eBay but its w/crankshaft sensor. Are these engines interchangeable?

I've already paid for engine but I haulted delivery until I get answers. Can anyone shed some light on this from their experience

That is the right one then. In 95 there was only one possible engine.

hey chevymaher so what about those engine with crankshaft sensor and without crankshaft sensor. does it matter with one I buy as long both are are made in 1995 and both 8-digit VIN# are "W"?

It shouldn't have a crankshaft sensor. If it is a van engine. A spot for one that is empty. Which mat be what he is talking about. It don't really matter if it has it or not. All that really matters on your van is that it has the correct intake. And you do have a a W intake.
