Postby diego89 [OP] » November 14th 2009, 6:02am

Does anyone know where i can get a complete/ rebuild engine at a good price. i would loved to put a 350 but to me it looks too complicated and expensive. so im sticking with a stock engine.

Theres probably a few place in your town that rebuild engines for resale. They generally have a core charge which is refunded when/if you take your old engine back to them.

Theres some pretty decent deals out there and some come with a good guarantee of a year. Steer away from the places that do the 90 day, their in it for the quick buck. See how long they've been in business. Some of them will offer various up graded motors, you can probably find more then stock HP for not to much more cash.

I just bought a replacement from Titan engines out of Florida and the engine lasted 50 miles and now has a knock and smokes like a chimney they have not been cooperative and insist they are not responsible for the engine they remanufactured.

Don't go with a Titan engine is what I am gettin at

I've bought a Autozone 350 vinK engine , i paid around $1100
I've heard people say there made with cheap parts (may be true i dont know ) but it did come with a roller cam (no roller rockers) I kept it all stock except for adding headers , it lasted for six years and was still going very strong when i got rid of it !
When i say it lasted 6 years that was six years of pulling around a big heavy 4800pound G30 van , i'll just say i ran it pretty hard!
I dont know if any companys will back your warranty if your not a certified mechanic.
