Another oil leak thread

Postby hamiltonfighter [OP] » April 22nd 2014, 5:39pm

I've already searched and read through a lot of postings. Looking for advice on my perticular van.

I think the oil might be coming from the oil cooler lines. Most instances have the oil coming from the Orings degrading, but I think the oil is coming from the middle rubber section of the line. The fittings where the Orings seat are dry.

Does this sound feasable?

Here are some photos

Make it easy on yourself. Get a good de-greaser, spray down the underside. Wash it off. Then you will have a much better idea of where the leak is coming from, as it starts to show up again. It will also make for a cleaner job when you go to fix it.

A good, common-sense approach. Put it up on ramps, fire it up and get comfy on the creeper! Looks like you've already figured out that your camera fits into places your head doesn't. But get out from under there after 5 mins or so...Carbon Monoxide ( CO ) is a nasty, silent killer. The buddy system works good here just so long as your bud is topside & not under there with you. Good luck...sounds like you're on your way!
Move along....all is well.....return to your homes.....nothing to see here.
