Is it okay to reuse the harmonic balancer bolt?

I'm trying to finish up a cam swap and just wondering if it's necessary to replace the center balancer bolt. My service manual doesn't say to replace it, but most information I find online suggests to do so. It's not an expensive part, but the local dealership can't have it til Monday and I wanted to get the van running this weekend.

I always do. I never had a problem. It isn't holding squat and it big enough to hold the Titanic.

Not a problem in all my years of twisting wrenches.

There are only a small number of "do not reuse" bolts but this isn't one of them.

It's up to you...I've never had a problem re-using the bolt nor have I heard anyone having a failure on a street engine. Maybe your cam manufacturer is just covering their butts in case of a race application failure? I can't say but myself. I wouldn't sweat it. Just make sure to torque it to spec and you're good to go.

I agree with everyone else. I don't ever remember replacing one. Suggest cleaning the threads and using blue Locktite....
