Astros 4.3 into a Chevrolet blazer.

Hey guys I need some help with a mates blazer. He wants to buy the v6 out of my van as I have decided to part it out now after buying a 94 gmc safari.

Only question I have is that will the v6 in the astro go in, start and run without any issues in a 1998 blazer? Which computer would I have to use? The Astros one or the blazer? Also how would the trans be affected as I've heard that it may not work if it is the wrong computer paired to the wrong trans?

Just put the 96 engine in and used the blazers existing computer.

If the blazer is 4x4 then you will need to swap the oil pans too.
