'01 vs. '02 Cold Air Intake

'01 vs. '02 Cold Air Intake

Postby visitor [OP] » April 26th 2008, 10:12am

AEM lists a Cold Air Intake for "1996 - 2001 Chevy Astro Van".
Anybody know what changed going in '02 so that an '01 version wouldn't fit?

Actually, I'm looking into a deal on an AEM Brute Force Air Induction System 21-8005DP, designed for a '98 S-10 4.3L. Is it just the length/orientation of the pipes that make that particular model not advertised for an '02 Astro? Couldn't we possibly just cut/turn the piping to fit it to the Astro?

Thanks

I highly recommend the Volant one if you have the cash. It's all plastic, and comes with some sort of "Heat shield." I have one installed on my 98 astro...
