2005 PCV location

2005 PCV location

Postby kahos [OP] » May 5th 2015, 10:56pm

I've been doing a major tune up on a van I bought a month ago. I bought a PCV valve for the van before taking the dog house off and the problem is I can't find a PCV valve anywhere on the engine. The closest thing I found to a PCV valve is a plastic elbow in the passenger side valve cover which is connected to the cold air intake just before the throttle body.

Any clues?

It's a terrible pic. But number 506.

Though its labeled as a pcv valve cover.

Ok. I opened up that cover and there was NO PCV valve in my car.

Does it require an O-Ring to be installed correctly? Does the nipple go up or down?

Sorry for the fundamental questions... but I was stunned to not find a PCV valve beneath the PCV valve cover.

I have a 2004 -- this is where my PCV was intended to be:
