1993 Astro oil change

Postby Wil [OP] » September 22nd 2010, 6:03pm

Hi,

I am just about to change the oil on my Astro for the first time. Are most people putting the vehicle on ramps for this or can you change the oil by just crawling under it as is? I could just see if I can squeeze under there, but that would be too easy!

Thanks,

Wil

:) That would depend on if the ground is level and you can squeeze under it , the average build guy can probably squeeze in there , if not you can use wheel chocks and a jack stand

That's (one reason) why I love my truck. Cars with 4" clearance...you can have em. Raining? no problem, just crawl in and go to work!

It's a bit tight, I prefer to jack it up and put it on a stand on the drivers side to get a few more inches. As stated previously, it's also a great time to take the grease gun to the zerk fittings
