Uh?.....Odd noise and idle?

I'm lost on this one no codes it did this while it was cold once it was at running temp idled fine i'm think IAC dirty or bad causeing the idle problem but what about that sound? I do know the sound is not coming from belt or pullys

EDIT: in the video you really cant tell but its idleing about 2k

can't tell for sure. If it is the whistling sound, it could be coming from the air intake somewhere. Other than that I can't help.

By the way, your van does shine very well. Nice detail work!

O yea i forgot i changed intake gaskets about 6 months ago because the silicone ends where leaking a little bit of oil so i went ahead and replaced all vacuumn lines and rebuilt the TBI

i could really hear it when you pass the camera over the drivers side traveling back to turn your van off...so far.

did you check your vaccume brake booster ? it kind of sounds like a reed blowing in the wind, medium pitched. do you have any vaccume lines toward the drivers side? one time i heard a simular noise and it ended up being some sort of leaf stuck in the heater intake trap but it would change pitch when you changed the fan speed. if it's mechanical, then i'm leaning towards the a/c area. that noise seems like it is eminating... not making noise right in front. i would take the dog house of and see if you hear it better. i couldn't hear if it changed with the rpm cause as soon as you opened the door i couldn't hear it anymore.

Your van now sounds like a train. Thought maybe a pulley bearing, but no, is something stuck in the throat of the tb.

I'll have to let it sit over night and then pull the dog house off because to make this problem even weirder is it'll only do it after it sits all night and only does it until it warms up for the first time of the day its cranked. also it has hydroboost so it doesn't have vac booster

took dog house off today to find out where the noise was coming from and after all that work it wouldn't do it But I should had known that be just my luck so lets see what happens tomorrow now it's all back together

same thing happend at work today. one line just ran like crap all day. then when i was able to get the maintinence guy to look at it it ran without a problem. machines like to make liars out of us.... keeps us on our toes...lol

Its ok if that motor keeps running like it does at times. That'll just get it thrown out and my v8 put in.

ok the noise came back tonight except it only did it under certain % of throttle so i'll be taken out the doghouse again and try to find it. Possibly make a video depending on what I find.
