Almost jumped on this

Postby DRZ [OP] » May 28th 2016, 3:46pm

Untill I saw the shipping to 53548. When I bought my '99 LS1 Trans-Am engine and Transmission dropout from Long Beach to put in my '98 Astro it was $2700 and $300 Forward Air to Milwaukee, Wi Mitchel Field and that one also had the Converters still bolted to the exhaust manifolds.. I already have a LS1 inlet manifold bought so the LM7 will fit under the engine cover / dog house.

Yeah, one can see fuel costs driving up the cost but lower costs never seem to get passed on.

Yeah, you'd have to find someone that was traveling through to hitch a ride with to get it cheaper. Driving out and back to get it would cost near that much in fuel/food/lodging.
A temporary fix usually becomes a permanent solution, therefore it does not exist.

That place in Bow N.H. has really good deals on :dropout" engines but I don't know WHAT they put on the road there but even the all aluminum L33s look like rust buckets they are sooo corroded and the LM7s look like they have been stored in the Atlantic. The '99 LS1 I got from Long Beach looked like a new one.

It's snow vs. ice, just like on the ski trails. East coast gets a lot of ice; doesn't happen in CO.
