longer brake hoses-lifted vans

longer brake hoses-lifted vans

Postby markmitch [OP] » November 25th 2020, 5:17pm

Anyone know which brake hoses fit our vans? I want to lift my van 2 to 3 inches and thought maybe I need to get a longer rear hose? I replaced the fronts but not the rear so if anyone knows what fits and is a bit longer please let me know so I can order the proper length hose. Thanks Mark

Mark, you just make a bracket, bend the steel lines down,to lower the original bracket the T fitting is on.Or,I think JOR sells a bracket.

I opted to replace the brake hose rather than risk moving that crusty brake line, which by the way snapped like grandmas hip when I tried to disconnect it.

Here's the link to the hose...for $12.00, why not.

I've seen some nice braided stainless hoses out there that would be nice to, but don't remember where....

pegasus racing for stainless hose. They have the stuff to make anything you need.

My van is rust free underneath and my rear brake hard line looks crunchy.

Mine snapped too. I had to borrow a flair tool to fix.
Never occurred to me about a longer rubber hose.. my lifted van is still using stock.
I just re-positioned things... but I probably would have bought longer if I had known about it.
None the less, the stock length is working fine for me... just positioned differently.

I installed a 5" lift without the need for longer break hoses.
I made a simple bracket to relocate the hoses off the rear differential.
Super simple and free.
