Brake pedal jerks up when parked ???

Okay, found several topics, mostly about pulsating ABS, not the symptom.

When the 2001 AWD is started, I put the brake on and take it out of park, then the brake pedal jerks up, as if something pushed the pedal up.

Don't see how it could be wheel sensors since the wheel isn't even turning.

Doesn't happen every time, just often to some degree, some jerks are harder than others.....

Any ideas would be appreciated

There is a lock on the shifter to keep you from putting it in gear with out the brake being on. I would look into that.
