I got my rear disc brake conversion completed, all that's left is getting her aligned and I can drive her.
I had to go with an aftermarket conversion because I installed a light truck rear end, it was a little pricey, but worked out good.

A lot of money and effort to convert to rear-discs.
I see you kept it 5 lug which is good.

The van looks GREAT! I can see it was worth it!

Tell us more about the rear end and why you chose it. The van looks fantastic.

Great looking van. It is a shame the forum software flips the picture upside down when you click on it

I picked up the truck rear end for only $50, It had the same gear ratio as the stock one that came in the van.(3:42) I rebuilt the limited slip, I wanted the rear end to set in close to the same position as the factory. The hardest part was finding someone who could make me an axle for the longer side. (For those who don't know it ,the rear end is offset) I found Dutchmen axles, it worked out great. They put in the larger lugs and I updated the front to the same. I upgraded the fiberglass leaf springs to steel, Many of the mounts for the rear end had to be sourced from other types, Like the spring perches are ford, the shock mounts are jeep, the rubber snubbers stops are olds.

Just curious what truck had a similar offset - assuming you didn't modify the housing. Only other rear I've heard of that was easily doable due to offset is Econoline.

Non, I did cut and shorten the rear end. That's why I had to get axles made.
