Hi,
Just got my van back from Copperfiremist
It is running great, he told me it will take 3 weeks, but he got it done in 2.
Need to get some new tires for the old girl
do anyone of experience with Firestone Destination LE3
I will be driving mostly in town and on Highway in WA and maybe trips to CA, Las Vegas.
not planning of going offroad or playing in the snow anytime in the near future
right now I have a set of Snow tires

Look for MPG, Good Handling, Good Traction in the Rain and maybe light snow.

I have stock size 215-70-R15
should I go up to the 215-65-R16?

thank you

I put the LE on my '99 Safari, the LE2[/sub] on my '02 Astro and the '05 came with the LE[sub]2[/sub] on it. All mine are AWD. All drive in town, on the highway, in the snow (up to 2') and not once have I slipped or slid.

I love them. I've not had an LE[sub]3[/sub] on any van yet, but I will once the LE[sub]2s wear out.

215-65 will just be the same width but a shorter sidewall than OE 215-70

First digit is the width, second is aspect ration of sidewall

You can go as wide as 235 with no fender rub, assuming torsion bars are healthy.

You could also split the diff and go 225

I kept them skinny on my 2000 for better winter traction.

If you go with an LT tire with a stiffer construction the van will handle better than with a car tire. you may feel a bit more road imperfections

Tires are very subjective. Hard to make recommendations.

I really can't get away with an all-season tire where I live and have to drive.
