1995 Astro CL EXT Passenger 2WD 133,007 miles $1000?

Well, it has finally come time to break free of my semi-hoarder tendencies and move on... I tried to go toward building a camping/tow vehicle, but 5000# tow capacity wasn't gonna get us there, and getting it the way I'd want it would be an easy $25k. Cheaper to buy a tow vehicle.

Never could get the rear seal on the tailgate right, the replacement remote hatch release got destroyed by the water, and the carpet and padding need to be pulled out again and sanitized and padding replaced. Rear AC duct got a little jacked up on the end that goes behind the trim on the driver's side, but most of the pieces are there and could be patched together. Lower dutch door trim panels are ruined by water damage. Starts great, doesn't stay running. Probably a ground. Look up my posts for details. Passenger fiberglass spring looks shot, and has needed a front suspension kit for a long time, but it has Bilstein shocks and 16" AR Nitro wheels. Tires still have tread, but they are approaching 15 years old. Paint is traditional outdoor PNW faded. Knew I should have gotten a 3 car garage... :? There's a small dent dragged across the right rear fender. I had a better pic, but the gallery didn't seem to like it for some reason. Also has an Auburn limited slip with worn out friction cones. I also have the original diff.

I replaced the spider, along with the manifold gaskets, radiator hoses and water pump last summer for my boy to take his friends to the Gorge to get one last ride in. Even added a good junk yard spare on a stock alloy rim with trashed paint. :P And still have the original compact spare. A collector's item!

CAT back exhaust is recent-ish, brand new high flow CAT system with donuts ready to bolt up to the exhaust manifolds (old plugged one is still on the vehicle), but it needs a weld to join the two sides, so never got to it. Almost the whole ignition system - distributor rotor to spark plugs - has been replaced over the past few years.

I'm guessing the consensus is the price isn't unfair, but there just isn't anything special here to justify a project?

Well, with a few exceptions, we all already have vans :)

If it was what I was looking for, I would pay 1k for it.
If you pressure washed it, cleaned the rest, installed those parts you already have, fix that leak in the back and you could probably get more than you are asking. Get that done, take some nice pictures and advertise it locally and it will probably sell pretty quickly.
Most people don't want a project, but some of us are different.

Trolls take away from productive work, best to ignore them & go about your business.
