It has been my daily driver for awhile now, and it is ready to be passed on to it's next owner. Lots of work has gone into this 1999 AWD Astro to make it into the Battlecar you see now. Van was used as work vehicle (these haul 4ft x 8ft sheets without issue), trail rig, and daily driver.
Original interior carpet and conversion parts removed, leather seats from Plymouth Voyager are now first and second row. Second row seats are removed easily with no tools. The interior is not as glamorous as the outside. Keep in mind, this is a van built for dominating trails and winter commutes and just happens to look good doing it.
The only rust on van was on driver's side. Panels were cut out, and new sheet metal was welded in. All lower areas and bumpers are Rhino Lined. Custom fabricated front and rear bumpers. Jeep Wrangler spare hanger with spare hangs on back door.
So you might be asking yourself, if I have put over $7000 and countless hours into this van--why am I selling it for $4000? Well, the check engine light is on, the AC does not work and heat is intermittent. I am ready to move on and I believe all the time and money has been worth it. This van is a blast to drive, gets compliments everywhere, and was a project my son and I worked on together.
