Astro conversion drink holder

Postby 94astroguy [OP] » August 31st 2014, 5:25pm

I have this out of my astro conversion, I took picture with the stock drink holder that dosent hold a thing, this one brings the drinks out further so they don't hit the dash, the flat one is stock $5 plus ship, the bigger one is a fancy conversion one its $15 plus ship., it came out of a 93, so I guess it fits 87-94 I think.

I can't picture where or how they would mount, at least on my 89. Do you have any pics of them installed?

Those look nice…

I wonder if anyone has merged hydration packs into their vehicle…

Somewhere there's some guy, with a bluetooth headset, window mounted GPS, a hydration pack on the back of the seat, and a phone that makes pancakes… Hands always at 10 and 2…

I had it on mine until I sold it, it has 2 screws just like the factory one does, I don't know anyone close to me with an astro any more, if I find someone I will take picture with it on it.

That's what I'm having trouble picturing. My 89 Gen I doesn't have a "factory one".

Does anyone have a pic of where it mounts?

I think, perhaps, it's part of the conversion. Not OEM.

Its part of a conversion, how do I know, mine has one like the one on the left in the picture above. Mine is a little different, but works the same. I will post a picture of it for Lumpy. By the way, mine is a 94 gen1.

Hmmm. It appears that the 94s are some kind of crossover between the Gen I and Gen II doghouses. My 89, and I think the 90 and 91s I've seen are flat fronts. No cupholder shelf like Biz has.

That first one looks to match the profile of what I made for my '93.

My '93 looks like the ones above. Not a flat front.
