parting out a 2001 Astro AWD LS passenger van

Postby astrofur [OP] » August 29th 2010, 2:44am

its rough and the body is rusted pretty badly. bought for the front end components to go into my own van. its the same trim level as my van so there is nothing i can really use. front doors have decals/spray paint on them but they do work, and no dents. but the barn doors in back are garbage and don't latch.

missing: sliding door, bench seats, radio, heat control, alternator, mirrors, at least one of rear the seat belts, gas tank, exhaust

keeping for myself:engine, transmission, transfer case, dash cluster, entire front suspension inc cross member and axle shafts, power window motors.

for sale: anything else you or i can pull off the van. things that come to mind, headlights and taillights all very good condition, a headliner in good shape (grey), the overhead console with the info center, door panels, glass, wiring harnesses, interior panels (they look average), doghouse, center console, etc. i am sure there is more that i am not thinking of.

this is 'make an offer'; i am willing to ship smaller items and odd parts, you pay shipping. sorry, no PayPal here. money order or cash only;

if anyone would like to look for them selves, i am about 1.5 hours north of NYC and 5 minutes off the Taconic parkway in upstate New York. send a PM if interested.

this van will not last long. probably about a week before it goes to the junkyard. be quick

i'll try to get better photos tomorrow if i can

I'm looking for the rear corner molding from the passenger's side. GMC had them listed for about $60.00, but they're out of stock. If that price works for you, you have the part, and you're able to send it to me, I'll send a cashier's check and whatever shipping charges apply (I'm in the Chicago area). Thanks!

How much for the GRILL, HEADLIGHTS, CORNERS, and TURN SIGNALS shipped to 78628??????????

And then how much JUST for the GRILL itself shipped to the same zip???

And.....last question.....Is it in great shape? No broken pieces, no flaking of paint or chrome, no gouges, scratches, and such?? Looking to buy ASAP. :)

i got the PM about as quick as i would have gotten the email.srry, ihave been very busy with my job ehh :(

the grille and lights are in very good shape. turn signal lights have the usual fog effect to them, headlights are perfect. i should also have the mounting screws too. light bulbs, i don't remeber if i kept those or not.

the rest of the van has been junked already, aside from the hood and left fender, and some odd pieces that were easy-pull ie. the overhead console, cluster.

i don't know what you mean by corners.

i am not sure if i can pack it up to ship. i guess i'd be taking it to a shipping place and let them do it? i don't know what actual shipping would cost, but if you are definetly interested i'll stop by the shipper tomorrow and get an estimate.

as for price before shipping? feel free to make an offer, i'll keep an eye on my PM box for the next few days

(to the person who wanted the rear trim corner cap; van was hit in that corner so i don't got one, sorry)
(re the door panel: van was missing that too)

So do you still have the overhead console? I'm assuming it's grey and is the one that has the MPG and temp/compass display? Can you post a pic?
