slow upshift and no reverse in '95 AWD

Postby wedigforyou [OP] » October 10th 2011, 10:44am

Transmission is slow to upshift. I have to back off on throttle to help it shift. I have no reverse. If anyone can suggest something simple to check for such as loose vacuum line or other it would be appreciated.

Time for a rebuild... Sounds like the sun gear is going out. When this happened on my '92 I lost 3rd gear and reverse.

x2 on that one Rebulid it before it gets too bad and lose all your gears on the highway or even worse, you get stuck on the side of the road.

A beast sun gear will be needed perhaps?

Hopefully this isn't part of my problem I'm having. Lol I'm starting to get nervous because it seems the same problem I'm having.

Thanks for the replies. They confirm what I had hoped to avoid.
