Is this suppose to have a plug in it?

Is this suppose to have a plug in it?

Postby Birdshake [OP] » July 5th 2019, 5:06am

Looked under my van and saw a dark spot thought it might be a leak till I looked closer.

Is this the right part for it?

Yes, there's supposed to be a plug in it and yes, the one you linked to looks right. Measure the hole; the listing says the plug is 28mm in diameter. The hole should be close to that size for this plug to fit properly.

I measured it this morning and it was about 55mm so I don't think that plug will be big enough.

I did find this one I think will work and my local GM parts counter is ordering it in to pick up today.

Thanks!

The 28mm plug might be for a "Timing Hole"? Long weekend, otherwise someone with a better idea of how to help you would have surely jumped in by now. Hope the plug they ordered works out for you!
