transfercase swap.

transfercase swap.

Postby Allmntrider [OP] » December 31st 2013, 8:49pm

I'm actively looking for a 4x4 t-case for my van. It's a99awd Astro. I've read a lot about the swap.I just can't seem to figure out which case to pull from the jy.I really want to get as close to bolt in and go as possible. I have a friend who does drivelines at his machine shop he's made me many in the past for different projects. but if I could save some cash it would be great. I plan to run a manual case but if a electronic one fit's better I'll convert it to manual during the swap. Any info is greatly appreciated. a np 233 would be key. But which year fits the best. I've torn a few of them down to re gear, and to install slip yoke eliminators for a few different xj's I've built. :ty:

The TCCM (transfer case control module) to go along with the electric Tcase is basically unobtanium: Even though those cases can be found quite easily, the TCCM s cannot.

Going electric is easiest done when a complete donor vehicle is available.

Edit: Just read the date of your OP. Have you done the swap already?
