Serious Hesitation or Momentary Interuption/Shut Off

Serious Hesitation or Momentary Interuption/Shut Off

Postby RPetty_43 [OP] » November 21st 2020, 1:20pm

A normal hesitation of one cylinder is almost imperceptible. At around 50-65 mph, my 2001 4.3L literally shuts off for a split second. It feels like someone flicked the switch on all systems. Headlights and dash lights etc. are not affected. This is an engine control issue only. It literally feels like someone jabbed the brakes. My guess is that either the fuel or ignition or both were shut off for a split second.

New cap, rotor, and pickup

New fuel pump

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
