Wiring harness issue

Wiring harness issue

Postby skip bevins [OP] » August 29th 2016, 11:36pm

so, I lost all power to my blower motor, only had the two high speeds because I had gone through three risistor blocks. Anyway in probing the wires I found that the power feed to the switch and also to the relay showed continuity to hot side and negative side of the battery. Opened all accessable harness and didn't find any short. probed everything underneath the dash and determined that there's a short in the harness insde the dash between the fuse box and fan switch. have decided instead of trying to remove that impossible section of harness. To disconnect behind the switch and at the firewall and tie a new hot lead to both sides. However, my concern is that even though I have isolated both directions off of the feed that it will still go hot in the harness where it appears to be fused, I am trying to determine where that originally feeds from off of the fuse block so that I can terminate that hot at the source. The only information that I can find is that the line is labeled 52 I cannot however determine which terminal that is off of the fuse block. Any information abouth where I make the disconnect is appreciated. Thanks Skip
