Horn wire

Horn wire

Postby Black89cs [OP] » February 19th 2011, 6:30pm

Does anyone know what color the horn wire is on the 96 and up Astros? I've got the remote start system almost finished in my 97 and have considered hooking up the horn to the output of the lock relay so it beeps when I hit lock on the FOB. I'll have to experiment with the terminals so it doesn't do it every time I hit the lock buttons on the doors, but an audio acknowledgment along with the blinking parking lights would be nice. My Neon was setup like that and I could hit the lock as I walked away and hear it lock.

try to look in 98 up astros they have that feature, but when you hit the lock button it beeps but the park lamps dont flash. But, in the 98 up astros when you hit the unlock button, it flashes park lamps but no beep. For the color if the wire, idk

Here is the horn wiring circuit diagram.
Did you install a factory unit or an aftermarket ?
Most newer cars are wired like that ,
