battery lite stays on

On my 1990 van with the digital dash the battery icon flashes ever so often this started after I had Altenator replaced ....it reads 13+ volts but still flashes any ideas as why this is happening .........also have lost my cruise control ....no light on dash nothing when button is pushed .....check fuse ......is good ...am wondering if it is a vacumm line ....but thought the cruise icon would be visible just not work ....any ideas....thanks

You should be getting 14.5v out of the alternator. I would make sure the connection is physically good at the alternator, and also clean the battery connections...a poor ground will cause all sorts of these kinds of troubles.
A temporary fix usually becomes a permanent solution, therefore it does not exist.

2x on the ground. Also, in addition to vacuum, a chain linkage may pull the throttle for cruise control. Years ago after a service, Mr. Good-wrench forgot to re-connect the linkage. I probably would have spent less time connecting it than I did schlepping it back to them.

Have checked all the vacumm lines ...still no cruise control.....put new battery in ......no difference ...battery light still flashes once in awhile.....now going to double check ground (s) ....any idea where they might all be....1990 safari.....thanks
