I have a 2002 Safari SLE. I just noticed that my headlights and tailights are coming on during the daytime. Is this normally due to a faulty sensor? How difficult is it to replace the sensor?
In 2000 and up M/L vans, there is a small sensor in the dash (looks like the eraser end of a pencil) that is located to the side of the defroster grille.
Check to make sure that it is not covered by anything laying on the dash.
you can turn them off by pushing the dome light override button four times fast, you will hear a ding then they will turn off.
