400W Power Inverter Deal!!!

400W Power Inverter Deal!!!

Postby Philly758 [OP] » October 30th 2011, 1:34am

Stumbled across this -> http://bensbargains.net/deal/221694/

Advance Auto Parts has the PEAK 400-watt Tailgate DC to AC Power Inverter (PKC0BO) for $35 - $10 off with coupon code A123 [Exp 10/31] - $20 rebate [Exp 12/31] = $5 with free in-store pickup or $10 shipping to home. Features 3 AC outlets, 2 USB outlets, low battery shutdown, 400 Watts of power, and includes cables.

Since the rebate has a limit of two per item, I did the following:
Add two inverters to your cart, 2 x $35 = $70. Then add $5 worth of merchandise to get to $75 total. Use coupon code "BIG30" for $30 off of $75. Do in store pick up so you don't have to pay for shipping.

So, $75 - $30 from coupon - $40 from rebate = $5 total and you got $5 worth of merchandise out of the deal.

Granted you need to wait up to 8 weeks for refund, you will get two free inverters and $5 worth of stuff you probably needed anyways.

Here is a link to the rebate form: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/wcssto ... ronics.pdf

Sweet. I just hopped on this. I actually already have a 400 watt inverter but I'll take two more if they're free!

Waiting until this afternoon for approval from the Minister of Finance, but it's loaded in my shopping cart.

Thanks for the heads up!

Edit: Just ordered for in-store pickup!

Picked up my inverters today along with an oil filter and 99 cent battery corrosion washers to get to the $75 to use the $30 off code. Now I have 3 400 watt inverters. I can stick one in both of my vans. The 3rd one can be a spare :lol: .

One is in the back of my wife's van, the other will probably stay in the package in mine until I need it. I'll put the 2 cans of carb cleaner to use somewhere, I'm sure. The buggy is having carb issues so I'm sure I'll need some for it.

Thanks again for the heads up, Philly758!

Happy to share.

So, would it be a bad idea to hard wire this thing to my battery and install it in the back of my van? I want to take advantage of the full 400W and make it a permanent fixture in my van.

EDIT: I think I answered my own question, it would be adviseable to have an in line fuse. Here is a simple video of an installation, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6e2yWM62NM0. Now want a bigger inverter and a deep cell battery...
