I might be crazy. I went cheap now paying the price.

So was getting a misfire under slight throttle p0300, checked my plastic distributor and had some play. Found a cheap aluminum replacement Ebay special 33 bucks.
Put engine at tdc 1, R&R the distributor and the new one is off by a hair before and after where it should be, after numerous attempts and checks. Put the old one in and lines right up. Pretty sure the cheapo was machined or put together wrong? Anyone ever hear about this before?
Or am I just sucking at life?

So turns out the reluctor wheel was pressed on incorrectly timed on the shaft. Get what I paid for thanks china!

Sorry to hear that, I HATE when that happens; new part worse than the old one. Good catch! Doesn't ease the sting much though, huh? Hope you get it sorted out soon!
