Alternator died today

Postby Goosecreek [OP] » February 7th 2020, 2:44am

Noob here but I think this van is overlooked and underrated. Hope I can add to this forum as much as I can gain from it.
I will start a build thread when i get a chance. Kinda of fumbly on the phone I think I need a lap top to get it started

Well I just got a 1997 awd safari with a bum tranny last week stuffed a used in it and 200 miles later I am needing an alternator.
Wanted something a little more than 105 amp and could only find a 250 amp. A bit over kill for my build but it should not get over worked :D
What is everyone else doing?

A stock(non upgraded)145amp AD244 alternator is a great upgrade for our vans and is probably your best bet.

Trolls take away from productive work, best to starve the troll of attention by ignoring it and going about your business.

Well I installed an Amazon purchased 250 amp for $151.00 .
I will report back if I have any trouble but in the meantime what to do with all these amps.
