Weird Electrical Quirks

I’ve got a weird electrical thang happening in my 2001 Cargo and was wondering if any of y’all knew what might be the cause.

The radio doesn’t turn on unless the lights are turned on. The head unit is an aftermarket installed by the previous owner. Some other electrical weirdness includes the flashers/blinkers blinking too fast, and also the heat doesn’t work/turn on.

Now I know the blower motor may be broken, I see it’s been replaced once before, and also I have read the resistor fries easy too.

I’m less concerned with turning the radio and heat on right now, and more want to just figure out the problem. Any clues?

Sounds like thr radio is miswired, the blower resistor or switch needs checking/replacement (check the blower ground too), and you may have turn signal bulbs out. The flasher is designed to go faster or slower depending on whether its a front or rear is bulb out.

My thoughts too about the radio. Thanks for chiming in.

All bulbs are working. I’m wondering if the fast flashers were a symptom of radio/headlight issue.
