2002 astro ignition start

2002 Astro passanger . Got new starter , new ignition switch , but still not starting . Can start perfect with flat screwdriver in ignition switch , but when its connected tight to steering column , doesn't , its missing like a little bit off turn 1/8 , 1/16 off turn .
Manual doesn't show detailed column , my guess get new key cylinder (60$) or something like transfer mechanism from key cylinder to ignition switch? Little mess before taking steering column apart or easy just key cylinder ?

Key cylinder. This is what happened to mine. See my Pics of the new '99 Safari thread in Uncategorized - somewhere near the end. My switch was also bad (chafed wires), but ultimately it was the key switch not allowing it to start.
