ODB Not Working

ODB Not Working

Postby beauxolo [OP] » July 10th 2012, 2:43am

I plugged in an Ultra Gauge and there no response from the device. It works on my Subaru. Any ideas on what I could check?

Compare the protocols that it uses and see if it matches what GM in your year used , sometimes the gauge/scanners use different protocols

also make sure the fuse for the OBD port is good , it usually the same as the extra power outlets in the side of the glove box

Go to autozone and see if theirs works , if it does then it is the scanner/gauge you have

Might be that fuse - I noticed the power/lighter outlet on the side didn't work. Checking it out tomorrow.

I see the fuse box under the dash, but Isn't there also a fuse box in the engine compartment - where is it located?

Fuse 7

the BATT fuse under the hood also , but if your radio cig lighter , hazard lights are working then that fuse is likely good

Problem solved - it was a fuse. Thanks for the tip!
