Voltage low. Good battery, new alternator.

Voltage low. Good battery, new alternator.

Postby diego06310 [OP] » August 28th 2015, 5:17am

Got 95' Astro Van has new alternator and good battery.
Tested the battery twice came out good.
Change the alternator twice in 1 week.
Worked fine at first after running. Not sure if front and back a/c
and turning headlights are causing the battery light to turn on
and the voltage to drop low. Sometimes voltage gets normal but then drops again.

Could I directly run a wire from the positive of the battery
to the alternator?

Any reason why I got this problem?

Dirty battery connections. Ground to block. Body grounds. Common hot behind the battery is melting and getting ready to go out.

Because the connections to your starter solenoid look that one on Leeann's van, before she repaired it.
