cruise control question

Postby markmitch [OP] » August 10th 2018, 10:33pm

Hello I have an 89 Astro rs and there are 2 vacuum lines on the cruise control system one is small and goes into the engine vacuum system but the other is 1/2 inch or so and one end attaches to the unit mounted on the engine but I can't seem to figure out where the other end goes? Anyone know? its not on any of my diagrams.

Did 89 still use those big vacuum diaphragm actuators connected with a lamp style pull chain?

yes But I figured it out, it connects to the firewall under the wiring harness behind the battery. I did not remove this intentionally it must has pulled off during my engine removal or install. That's why I had no clue where it went. I found a picture on google of it. Thanks for trying to help though!

It actually goes to the brake light switch under the dash. Make sure that end is connected as well.
