95 AWD Safari vibration

I have a 95 AWD Safari with 174000 miles on it and I am trying to eliminate a mild shake at speed 55-75 mph. I just replaced the tires with Goodrich Long Trail 225 70 15 radials. Does anyone have any ideas as to the source...ujoints, something bent, alignment. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Where does the vibration feel like it's coming from? Several things can cause vibration.

Grumpy was curbed this past winter and thus the passenger side wheel bearing causes a heck of a vibration, but I can tell it's coming from that corner.

Did the vibration start soon after the new tires? If so, it's very possible that they didn't get the tires properly balanced or you threw a wheel weight that they didn't get securely attached.

If the vibration started after the new tires were installed, then I would have to agree with what nomo said. It "could" also be a defective new tire from the factory (out of round) which is a common thing nowadays (unfortunately).

Thank you for the responses but I don't think the vibration is a result of the tires. I had the previous set
rotated and balanced about two weeks ago and although that improved the problem it did not eliminate it. I was wondering if something could be bent or worn out or if this was acommon issue with an AWD Safari?

My AWD eats idler arms. I have changed them every other year since I bought the van. Test them by trying to move the tie-rod up and down. It should move very little. Bad idler arms will allow the tie-rod to move a half inch or more.

TRY CHECKING THE FRONT AXLE NUTS. I HAD A BAD VIBRATION IN MY 94 SAFARI AND FOUND THEM LOOSE HOPE THIS HELPS.
