insurance company finally settled with me so here she is and i do have projects i plan on documenting and putting on here since i know how yall love lots and lots of pics and some of my future projects are manual to power windows maybe even do the locks, possibly a interior redo, tint the windows and a head gasket replacement since i ran a coolant system cleaner through it to clean the iron deposits out of it taking the head gaskets with it
These pics are after i pressure washed to whole running gear since the van is from south georgia where the is a lot of georgia clay and everything was a redish-orangeish color i cant handle having a dirty vehichle

....................especially a dirty WHITE vehicle, lol............. Nice one !!!! I'd love to find a first gen van,the only ones I find either people think they're made of gold, or the van's been infested with those metal eating cockroaches.

you stole it, lol! It looks like it's really clean, you got a good deal, when I first started looking for an Astro, I found first gen vans, beat up and eat up , with mileage between 250K and over 300K miles, with morons asking like 5 to 7 grand for them....I couldn't believe it. I ended up finding my '99 ( about 5 years old at the time) with 74K for 5400, which was reasonable.

Very nice! You would be hard pressed to find a Van of that year up here without rust on it......especially for $400 and it runs.

Congrats on the new ride, I too anm stoked about my shorty with no rust (texas van) but fear the little scratches and tiny dings
are going to be food for the northeast rot roaches.

Thats why I said that year Van or Gen 1 Vans without rust are hard to find. Sometimes you get lucky though.......

i think the thick covering of georgia clay kept mine from rusting I reckon no rust is good for 212,000 miles

I think that's when wrinkled old ladys trying to be smooth and young. They smear them in with clay.......And take proper charge.
The problem is that they insist on washing off the clay.
